i:care – a new teacher’s pack and fun pack for pupils!

This year we are launching a brand new initiative called i:care. It’s all about eye care and the work that Sightsavers supports overseas! Activities are going to be centred around the i:care day, taking place on Friday June 20 2008.

Get involved!

We run a number of exciting competitions (Junior Painter, i:click) to encourage pupils to think creatively about issues surrounding blindness, find out more about these, and other ways you can get involved, here!

Statistics

Working with partners last year, we helped to:

  • Treat over 23.2 million people for potentially blinding conditions
  • Carry out 8,314 cataract operations on children
  • Provide education or rehabilitation services to 6,203 children
