How to support Sightsavers
In order to carry out our valuable work we need your support, without which we simply wouldn't exist. There are several ways in which you can help us, and by doing so help to prevent avoidable blindness and rehabilitate the blind in the developing world.
Give the Gift of Sight
The Sightsavers gift list is a great opportunity to buy your friends and loved ones a fantastic present which could have a huge impact on someone's life in the developing world.
Legacies make up one fifth of Sightsavers’ funding each year. This means that one in every five people we reach in developing countries has a life-changing opportunity thanks to someone thinking of us when writing their Will.
In Memory giving allows friends and family to celebrate the life of a loved one by donating to a cause close to their heart.
Giving shares
Donating stocks and shares is another way of supporting Sightsavers instead of a cash donation.
Our Community Groups and Events Manager can support group, or individuals in their fundraising activity or help you come up with creative new ways of raising money for Sightsavers' work.
Campaigning
If we are to eliminate avoidable blindness and ensure that all visually impaired people are able to enjoy the same opportunities as other people, we need to influence the policies and practices of decision makers across the world.
The work of Sightsavers links in with many aspects of the school curriculum. Pupils of all ages can enjoy learning about Sightsavers within the context of Science and the senses, or Geography, the Global Eye and Development, as well as Citizenship and PSHE. We can provide teachers with ideas and inspiration for activities and lessons tailored to support their needs.
Find out how you can help us to save sight and change lives by carrying out your online shopping, selling unwanted goods on Ebay, searching the web and other activities.
We work closely with many companies to develop effective relationships which help us in our continual drive to save sight, but also give something back to your organisation.
Sightsavers International is proud to receive funding from a wide range of Charitable Trusts and Foundations. This page will provide you with information on how your support can help us to change lives and on how to get in touch with the Trusts Team at Sight Savers International.
