Gifts in kind

Money is not the only thing your business can give!

We welcome gifts that support our core aim to prevent and cure blindness - and, where blindness is irreversible, provide rehabilitating services.

If your business can donate items or services that directly contribute to our work overseas, for example, ophthalmic equipment and air or sea freight, we would like to explore opportunities with you.

Or perhaps your business can donate gifts that directly contribute to our fundraising in the UK by, for example, providing prizes or a desirable venue. In either case, please email our fundraising team: fundraisingideas@sightsavers.org

Sightsavers welcomes the following gifts:

  • new ophthalmic products such as intra-ocular lenses and sutures
  • new spectacle frames and lenses, eg discounted lines
  • telecommunications equipment such as mobile phones
  • freight by air or sea
  • air travel tickets
  • storage or warehousing
  • company shares
  • venues
  • stock for raffle or auction prizes
  • gifts suitable for raffle or auction such as vouchers, entertainment or travel tickets

Gifts in kind are welcome, however please remember that they cost us money to store, distribute and process. Where possible, a cash donation to contribute toward these costs is appreciated. It is vital that we match Sightsavers' needs to the donation; therefore we cannot accept all gifts.

You can be confident that when Sightsavers accepts a gift from a business, that gift will be put to charitable use in a timely and efficient manner in line with the donor's wishes and the charity's needs.

A big thank you to all the companies and individuals who have contributed to our work by donating gifts in kind.
