The Charity Engine
Sightsavers is happy to be one of the participating charities involved at the launch of the Charity Engine, a grid computing system that raises money for good causes.
You can download an app that will quietly sit in the background of your PC donating spare processing power to the Charity Engine grid.
The grid is rented out like a giant supercomputer to science and industry, and all the profits are shared 50/50 between the participating charities and a prize fund. Each month all users are entered into a prize draw with one person winning the prize fund.

The Charity Engine is a non-profit initiative that has signed up to the same ethical policies as their charity partners.
If you want to join the Charity Engine, raising money for charity whilst having the chance to win the prize fund be sure to include 'SIGHT' in the invite code field on the form.
