Students

If you are a student and would like to fundraise for Sightsavers, we'd be thrilled to hear from you! To find out all the exciting ways you can help and get involved email jmitchell@sightsavers.org

RAG societies

A really great way of raising money for Sightsavers is to join your universities’ RAG society, and take part in RAG raids!

A RAG, or raising and giving, group is made up of students who love to have fun and raise money for good causes at the same time! Most RAG groups like nothing better than descending on our towns and cities in all kinds of fancy dress and silly costumes, armed with nothing but their witty banter and empty buckets- that tend to be filled with generous donations come the end of the day!

In the unlikely event that your university is yet to discover the magic of RAG and doesn’t have an established society, why not create one? While you’re at it give yourself the esteemed title you’ve always wanted and your hard work deserves, like Junior Vice President or Chief of the RAG Related Arena….

You can download our RAG leaflet here or order free copies by emailing jmitchell@sightsavers.org

Good luck raiding, and we hope to hear from you soon!

Annual RAG Conference 2010

Sightsavers staff were thrilled to attend the annual student RAG (Raise and Give) conference at the University of Kent, and spread the word about our work!

Exeter RAG raid Swansea

Members of Exeter University RAG took to the streets of Swansea dressed as birds and bananas, and raised over one thousand pounds for Sightsavers.
