Bonfire Night lesson plan
This classroom activity focuses on creating word pictures (pictures out of words) and aims to get children thinking about Bonfire Night and its affect on the senses.
This is a fun activity using Braille cards, that can be ordered from our schools team, free of charge.
Using eye masks made out of bubble wrap, this activity allows children to see for themselves what life is like for people with cataract.
International Literacy Day
Take a look at our brand new lesson plan all around International Literacy day that takes place on the 8th of September. All you need to do that activity can be downloaded here.
This activity allows children to explore the senses using poetry, meeting English objectives at Key Stage 2.
Princess Daisy Chain
This activity encourages children to think about our senses, and what parts of the body we use to hear, touch, taste, smell and see with.
Using a selection of food and drink, the sensory extravaganza allows pupils to identify different tastes, smells and textures whilst blindfolded.
What would help me
The aim of this activity is to encourage the children to think about what challenges they would face if they were blind and learning alongside sighted pupils in a classroom.
