Transform lives with a major gift

If you’re considering donating a major gift to Sightsavers, you could prevent thousands of people needlessly losing their sight, or protect entire communities from devastating diseases.

A generous gift can make an incredible impact.

Worldwide, 2.2 billion people have a visual impairment, but almost half of this can be prevented or treated if people receive the support they need.

Thanks to generous donors, since 1950 we’ve been able to carry out more than 11.8 million sight-saving operations and distribute more than 1.6 billion treatments to protect people against diseases like trachoma and river blindness.

Your major gift will have a significant impact: it could ensure children with visual impairments receive the education they need, or it could restore the sight of people who thought they would never see again.

Our vital work is only possible thanks to the support of generous donors like you.

“It’s hard to think of a way our giving can have more impact than restoring sight.”
