Learning

Learning and innovation are essential in order to improve the quality of what we do.

Sightsavers and its partner organisations in countries across South Asia, Africa and the Caribbean are involved in projects and programmes that are making a difference to tens of thousands of peoples’ lives.

Each year Sightsavers and its partners engage in research and development activities that seek to improve the programmes that we are involved in, and to advance the fields of health, education, social inclusion and community development in which we work

As part of our strategic commitment to quality and continual improvement within the organisation, Sightsavers produces a number of learning publications, evaluation reports, toolkits and guides. Below are some of these documents.

Insight

Insight is a succinct summary document, giving an informative summary of an evaluation or research report.

Insight Plus

Insight Plus is a practitioner journal which collates learning and best practice from across our programme work. It is published twice a year and each issue is devoted to a specific theme. You can read our current issues below, along with a summary of the key learning points.

Please note that as we are not registered medical practitioners and do not directly deliver eye care in the countries in which we work, but work with local partners, we are not able to respond to any questions regarding medical issues. Please contact your health service provider for medical advice.
