The Guardian has started publishing the finalists' articles from its International Development Journalism competition, which saw eight charities collaborating with the newspaper and the Department for International Development ( DFID), to challenge professional and budding journalists to engage with the complex world of development.

On 22 December Kate Hardy’s article highlighting Sightsavers’ work on inclusive education in India was published.
