Killa Virkan gallery
Killa Virkan is a small village in the Punjab province of Pakistan, which, until recently, had one of the highest rates of the painful and potentially blinding disease trachoma in the country. Now, thanks to the work of Sightsavers and our local partners, the village has been transformed and trachoma virtually eradicated. Clean water and education about hygiene and good sanitation were key.
