Meet the people

It's the people who work and volunteers at Sightsavers and our partners that make all our work possible. Get to know them here!

Kate's blog

Kate has worked at Sightsavers for 11 years, and is writing a blog about how she returned to work after losing her sight last year. Kate's latest blog entry is about Disablism Day and addresses fighting disablism – the discrimination of people with disabilities.

Safiya Sanda

Safiya is a programme manager in Sightsavers’  Nigeria office, where she’s worked for eleven years. She explains why she finds working for Sightsavers so rewarding.

A few words with Arvel Grant

Executive Director of our partner in the Caribbean tells us why being able to restore sight has a very personal meaning.

Q+A with Sightsavers' ambassador Lorraine Kelly

Braving the blistering heat on the Comic Relief Desert Trek hasn’t deterred Lorraine Kelly from wanting to do more for Sightsavers, in fact quite the opposite!

Tom Shenton, Sightsavers' volunteer

Volunteering for Sightsavers can involve cheering at events, taking part in street collections or speaking about our work at schools or community groups. Sightsavers volunteer Tom Shenton talks about his experiences.
