Strengthening reach and impact in West Africa: action plan

The Irish Aid grant ‘Strengthening Sightsavers’ reach and impact in West Africa’ aims to improve access to health, education and social inclusion for women, men and children living in Cameroon, Guinea, Liberia, Mali, Senegal and Sierra Leone.

As well as specific sectoral objectives in these countries, a complementary development education objective and a wider public engagement programme was established for Sightsavers Ireland, along with an objective to increase the capacity of Sightsavers’ staff and partner organisations based in the target countries to deliver quality programmes.

Following the Ebola outbreak, a further objective was added, which focused on contributing to the post-Ebola recovery in Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea. Publication date: February 2016
