Enoch's story

When we met little Enoch in Ghana, the two short years of his life had already been filled with sorrow and loss. His mother had died shortly after he was born, and he was living with his grandparents who could barely scrape a living.

Instead of being a happy toddler full of life and curiosity, Enoch was close to losing his sight for good and spending the rest of his life totally reliant on others.

A cataract operation saved Enoch from a lifetime of blindness

Doctors performed surgery to remove the cataract from Enoch’s eyes. It’s such a straightforward procedure, yet the impact of this operation could not have been greater. In an instant Enoch could see again.
