Bring and Buy at North Bute Primary
All 60 pupils at North Bute Primary School on the Isle of Bute, Scotland, helped to raise a fantastic £270 recently by holding a very successful Bring and Buy sale.

Every year the school has a Bring and Buy, and this year, further to reading an article about the work of Sightsavers in the Scotland on Sunday, the school chose to donate the proceeds to Sightsavers.
The children were particularly impressed by how little money it took to cure someone suffering from cataracts and decided to aim to raise at least £17 from each of the ten stalls at the Bring and Buy.
Anne Speirs, P6/7 teacher, said 'I found it very helpful to give the children a realistic challenge - every pupil had a set amount to raise and an understanding of why they were raising it. Next week we have our Nativity play and the collection at that will also go to Sightsavers.'
