Sightsavers was founded in 1950, and now employs staff in more than 30 countries worldwide.

Our UK office is in Haywards Heath in West Sussex, and we have offices in Ireland and Italy, as well as in Africa and Asia in the countries where we work. We offer a huge variety of jobs spanning a wide range of careers, skills and experience, from medical professionals and operations specialists to media and design staff, IT experts, charity fundraising staff and support roles.

Programme staff are often from a medical background, and work on a wide variety of life-changing projects.

Operations

It takes a lot of planning to make sure medication, people and equipment are in the right place at the right time.

Research

Sightsavers’ pioneering research teams have been awarded Independent Research Organisation status.

Fundraising

Our charity fundraising and supporter care staff engage with the public to encourage people to get involved.

In the field

Our staff regularly travel to remote communities to meet local people, hear their stories and provide support.

Policy/advocacy

We work with national governments, decision-makers and the public to call for equality for people with disabilities.

Communications

Our media, design, communications and events experts ensure our work is seen, heard and remembered.
