Sunetra Sarker to play Catchphrase for Sightsavers

Actress and Sightsavers ambassador Sunetra is taking part in a celebrity episode of the ITV game show to raise money to protect sight. Find out how to tune in and see her in action.

We’re delighted to reveal that Sunetra Sarker will be appearing on Catchphrase on Saturday 22 January.

Sunetra, who stars in Channel 4’s Ackley Bridge and recently joined the panel on ITV’s Loose Women, will be competing against comedian Roisin Conaty and radio presenter Rickie Haywood-Williams to solve tricky picture puzzles worth big sums of money for the contestants’ chosen charities.

The player who banks the most money will compete in a tense final round called the Super Catchphrase, where host Stephen Mulhern encourages contestants to unravel a series of brainteasers to win thousands of pounds.

Sunetra has been a Sightsavers supporter for more than a decade: she visited an eye screening programme in India in February 2020 and lent her voice to our trachoma appeal on BBC Radio 4 in June 2021. Every penny she raises will help to change lives, with donations to Sightsavers used to protect sight, prevent avoidable blindness, and ensure people with disabilities can participate equally in society.

To find out how Sunetra does, tune in to Catchphrase on ITV (or STV in Scotland) at 6pm on Saturday 22 January 2022.

When will the programme air?

Channel: ITV (STV in Scotland)
Date: 22 January 2022
