Giving Tuesday

Thanks to your incredible generosity, we’ve reached our fundraising target. Any further donations will go towards the campaign but will no longer be doubled.

Update: we have reached our match pot target of £47,000!

Donate now to our Giving Tuesday campaign and help us reach more children like four-year-old Chancy (pictured above) in Malawi.

Chancy was born with cataracts in both his eyes. His mother Felister noticed something was wrong when he couldn’t find his toys and he struggled to play with other children. One of Chancy’s greatest joys is football, but he often missed the ball and injured his toes because cataracts impaired his vision. Felister worried what his future would look like if he didn’t receive treatment.

In Malawi, cataracts are the biggest cause of blindness but many families face barriers when accessing treatment, such as a shortage of paediatric ophthalmologists and the cost of travelling to a hospital. The kindness of supporters like you helped Chancy receive the sight-saving cataract operation he urgently needed. Your donation helps make surgical outreach camps possible, bringing specialist eye care directly to remote communities.

Help us reach more children who still urgently need treatment before it becomes too late to save their sight.

Your donation, which may be doubled on 2 December, could help reach more children like Chancy. Help transform a child’s life today.

What is Giving Tuesday?

This year, Giving Tuesday is on 2 December 2025. It is known as the international day of giving.

Today, a generous group of donors will be matching donations, which means your gift can be doubled and go even further.

I feel like Chancy’s going to enjoy his life again. The things that he’s unable to see, he will be able to see.
