If there’s a greater adrenaline rush than hurling yourself out of a plane at 10,000ft, we’ve yet to find it.

During a tandem skydive you’ll experience freefall speeds of up to 120mph as you plummet through the clouds while safely strapped to an instructor. Before your jump you’ll receive a full safety briefing and a 30-minute training session, then you’ll board the plane to prepare for an experience you’ll never forget.

Sightsavers’ fundraising skydives are organised through Skyline Parachuting, a member of the British Parachute Association. Note that all airfields have a weight limit for parachuting, usually around 15 stone (95kg).

How can I get involved?

1. Choose your venue

There are more than 20 UK airfields to choose from, and you can pick a time that suits you. See the Skyline Parachuting website for details. Before you jump you’ll receive essential safety training.

2. Pay your entry fee

A £70 deposit is required when you book. If you can pledge to raise at least £395 for Sightsavers (or £450 in Scotland and Northern Ireland), you won’t pay another penny – your jump will effectively be free.

3. Start fundraising

A Sightsavers contact will be on hand to support you throughout your fundraising journey. We can also provide branded T-shirts, hats, tea towels, caps, badges and more to help you to raise money.

All your gifts help to achieve our aim of changing lives for the better.

You’ll be transforming lives

Every gift you give helps change lives for people in the world’s poorest countries. Since our work began, your donations have provided 8.7 million cataract operations and 529,000 advanced trachoma operations. Our donors have also helped us to support more than 313,000 people with disabilities, enabling them to live full and independent lives.

We think it’s money well spent, and we hope you do too.
