What is Giving Tuesday?

All Prodinah needed was a straightforward operation. The generosity of supporters like you means Prodinah received a sight-saving cataract operation. The change could be seen instantly: she became a happier and more independent child.

Sightsavers’ regional director for West Africa, Fatoumata Diouf, dreams of leaving conditions like cataracts in the past, so children like Prodinah aren’t at risk of sight loss that could destroy their future. “As a mother, it breaks my heart that children cannot access education because of sight loss and other disabilities,” she says.
