Women Deliver Conference: Be a disability-inclusive feminist

We’re proud to have attended the 2023 Women Deliver Conference, where we called for action to ensure women with disabilities are not forgotten when it comes to women’s rights.

Worldwide, around 18% of women have a disability. But disability issues are often forgotten within the women’s rights movement.

Together we can address this injustice. That’s why Sightsavers is proud to have attended the 2023 Women Deliver Conference, calling for people to take action to be a disability-inclusive feminist.

About the conference

The Women Deliver Conference took place in-person in Kigali, Rwanda, as well as virtually, on 17-20 July 2023. As one of the largest multi-sector events to advance gender equality, the conference welcomed 6,000 people in Kigali and more than 200,000 people online.

At the conference, visitors were able to join one of our concurrent sessions or visit our booth, located in the Square. Read the news story
